Are you thinking about Christmas yet? I quickly go from fall decorating to thinking about Christmas. The best time to find new holiday decor is actually in October before it's been picked over. I can also still order from Market and get things in time to decorate for clients. I love using clients family Christmas decor. One of the comments I regularly hear is, "I would never have thought about doing that, I love it!"  Taking their ordinary items and putting them together with a different eye can bring new life to decor.  But, I also love starting from scratch, with a whole new design scheme. I like to interview clients and discuss what look and style they are wanting. Are they wanting traditional red and green, or a trendy all whites look. I also like showing them some ideas. Because even traditional can have so many styles connected with it.

One place for great inspiration is Jennifer Rizzo Holiday House Walk.  Each year she shares several designers homes. Be sure to look at all their amazing homes, but here are a few highlights:

Lets First start with Jennifer Rizzo's gorgeous home.

This tree is full of lots of white. She added flocked branches to her tree to give it a snowy feel.  I love how it still has patches of green tree still showing.  Jennifer's repeats greens and whites throughout her decor and ever so often a hint of red.

Shades of Blue Interiors
This is a classic look -  Red and green with touches of blue and white.

The ribbon is a beautiful pin stripe picking up on the blue and white rug and the classic blue and white ornaments that are on the tree. The ribbon is running up and down in a loose back and forth flow. The ornaments are mostly white and gold. The tree has a beautiful dusting of white snow. Touches of red are throughout the tree with simple clusters of red berries.

 Maison Pax
Nature brought into the home. The simple whites and greens mixed with touches of browns and greys is a beautiful natural look.

The Wicker House Rustic Cottage
This traditional looks stands out with buffalo plaid touches throughout the home. Also, the tree is dusted with white snow and a white scalloped garland sets it apart.

 Zevy Joy Christmas Tour
How about this all white Christmas tree? I love how she places a mix of home made with purchased items - all in white and neutrals. The mix of woods and metals that blend beautifully.

Lucy's beautiful tree is full of snow and more snow! I love how she added all the gold - especially the antlers are my favorite. The white lights and soft green of the tree make it all blend together in a magical Christmas winter wonderland.

Courtney's tree is frosted and with loads of lights making it shine beautifully. She added touches of mercury glass, gold and white.

This tree is full of mercury glass, gold and white ornaments but they are soft and subtle compared to the bold black and white ribbon and presents all around. I love the movement that both the hanging ribbon bows and the antlers give.

It's been great meeting new clients in Franklin, Thompsons Station and Spring Hill areas.  Being new in an area can sometimes make it difficult to get your name out there. Recently, I received an award that I'm truly grateful for. It represents one of the things most important to me - Service. I strive to be the best I can be and do the best job for each individual client.  For clients to tell me my service is exceptional is music to my ears.

From new home design down to the last accessory I love making homes beautiful. Thank you to all those who have entrusted me with your new building project, remodel, drapery, bedding, accessorising and more. It's been a fun year and I look forward to this next season.
